Volunteering

Did you know that you can have an impact on the children that go to your local Primary Schools? Hand to Mouth want to partner with you and your local Church to share the Gospel.

Volunteering in school:

What does it involve?

Volunteers help us deliver our Amazing Journeys. Each Journey is set up in a classroom and comprises between 6 and 8 stations. The children move around the stations, doing some practical activity at each one.

Younger children work in pairs and are taken around the Journey by a volunteer who reads the information to them and helps them with each task. Most older children do the journey alone, however a volunteer will be on hand to help out where necessary.

What do you need?

A heart for working with children and an up-to-date DBS suitable for working with children. This can be from any organsiation you already work or volunteer with.  You’ll also need some photo ID.

We pride ourselves on providing quality materials and are always really grateful for anyone who can come for an hour or more to give us a helping hand.  We hold a prep day each term where volunteers give a few hours to cut/laminate/sort all the materials we use with children in school. You can either come into the office on prep day or request prep to do at home.

What do you need?

Enthusiasm (and perhaps a paper cutter or scissors!)

On behalf of ourselves and the thousands of children we have worked with over the years and will work with in the future, we give you a very big

Thank you!
