I was originally a trustee with Hand to Mouth, but later brought the idea of An Amazing Journey. Since then I have developed all 14! I’ve always had a passion for children and working with them is my dream job!

I joined Hand to Mouth in 2018 having left my job as a Secondary Teacher with no idea how exciting my future work would be! My passion is writing and delivering exciting, creative and enriching RE experiences. Everything gets tested on my own children first.

A creative mother of two young boys. I also love the outdoors and camping. Excited to bring my script writing skills to hand to mouth to build on what we already have to offer.

I have worked in schools for about 25 years, having a break to have my 3 now grown up children. My favourite and most rewarding time has been with Hand to Mouth over the last 7 years where I continue to be amazed and inspired by the children we meet and engage with. I love that I continue to learn with and from them each day.

I am a mother of three children and the wife of a vicar! When I haven't been a full-time mum, I've clocked up over ten years classroom experience in three different schools. I love being in a learning environment with children, not least because I find that they have so much to teach us. I have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus and the love of God.

I absolutely love the work that Hand to Mouth do in schools; telling children, staff, volunteers, about the great news of what Jesus has done for them. Also, helping others explore their own faith and spirituality. I worked for Hand to Mouth for 2 years and loved it! I was really disappointed when my career changed path, so leapt at the opportunity to serve as a trustee. My role as treasurer fits in well with my skills and passion, it also gives me a great opportunity to help out where I can with other aspects of the charity and offer prayerful and practical support.

I have worked as a volunteer for Hand to Mouth for seven years, and when I was approached to become a Trustee, I was eager to get involved in this wonderful Charity. My background in Secondary Education teaching creative arts and as a Head of Year have given me lots of skills to contribute as a Trustee.
I am a creative thinker and am passionate about working with children to further their spiritual development. -
Bethan
Hello! I’m Bethan and I only joined Hand To Mouth as a trustee in 2019, but I remember watching HTM’s puppet shows from a very young age! I am already enjoying being a part of a charity that strives to spread the word of god through creative and engaging activities for children. As a management graduate, I enjoy using my admin and organisation skills to make a positive impact and HTM was a great way for me to do that! It’s encouraging to see the positive work the team do in schools and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for us all!

I really value the work hand to mouth are doing in primary schools, encouraging children’s spirituality.
As a trustee I am keen to bring my background in business to support hand to mouth so that we continue to move forward and grow, to remain sustainable and in doing so to reach more children.

I have worked for many years in export in an office environment, and I felt that this was experience that I could bring to HTM. I have been connected with HTM for many years before becoming a trustee and love the fact that we can share the love of Jesus with thousands of children each year.

I joined HTM in 2020 (during the pandemic). Its humbling to be around such a gifted and committed team and wonderful to see their personal Christian faith permeate all they do. Coming from a background of Primary teaching, religious education advising and inspecting, I share their passion to help children and their teachers explore and enrich their understanding of values, faith and beliefs. They come up with amazing interactive activities and stories providing time for personal reflection and open questioning. Seeds of peace and hope are scattered in classrooms when HTM visit.

I'm married and have two grown up daughters. Why am I involved with HTM? I have always been a Christian and for as long as I can remember I've been involved in working with children. I love the honesty you see and hear when children react and respond to new experiences. HTM provide opportunities for this in bucket loads. They enable children to explore their feelings, their faith and that of others, and to develop their understanding without judgement. Need I say more?
